Town Planners lego workshop years 1 to 3

The session began with Dean describing how houses were built and the importance of overlapping bricks to make a strong structure. He also taught the children how to make 'A' frames to support the roof.

The children began by building the foundations and placing the windows and doors.

Then the children built up the walls and finally put the roof on. 

Some children built 3 storey houses.

The children then put all their houses together to build a town. They built gardens and swimming pools around their houses.

We then sat back and admired our town.
