Juggling Numbers
| <<<< return to previous page |
On Tuesday 16th January the school was visited by a group from the Everyman theatre who performed a drama called Juggling with Numbers.
The story was about a wizard called Even Steven
who sets challenges for his friend Jester Odd Bodd.
The first challenge was to balance a plate on his chin.
Jester Odd Bodd then had to bounce a diablo 10 times to collect points. As the Jester was not very good at number work the children had to help him work out how many times he had to bounce the diablo to earn the required points.
Following this the Jester then had to walk on stilts. The children had to help him measure the stilits, as he didnt like his head being more that 2.5m off the ground!
The fourth challenge was to juggle with canon balls! The children had to help Odd Bodd weigh the cannon balls to find out which one was the lightest.
The final challenge was to measure the width of the room using a unicycle .
After the performance the children had the opportunity to help with some magic tricks.
They all also had a chance to practise their plate spinning skills.
Apologies for the fuzziness of some of the photos but jesters are not very good at standing still!
