End of Term 3 Newsletter

 

Dear Parents.

 

 

Lots of dates and information for you to put in your diary, Tennis Seeds and Healthy Sports Club start up as soon as we get back, please see booking forms. Games club and Art Club will also continue during term 4. (Money in by the first day of term please!) The Friends are busy organising lots of events for you in this term, see “Friends” section of this newsletter. We do hope everyone will find something that they would like to join in! The Bingo at Coates got us off to a good start in this our 160th Anniversary Year, raising just under £100.

 

 

Charity news—we raised over £900 for the NSPCC with our “Spellathon”. Well done to everyone—this is a fantastic amount. Our next Charity event is for    Cancer Research—The Biggest Breakfast will be served on Thursday 6th March at . This falls on the same day as World Book Day and we will be asking the children to dress up as their favourite book character and pay £1.00 to Great Ormond Street Hospital Appeal as part of their “Peter Pan and Scarlet” fundraising appeal. As ever, prizes will be on offer so get your thinking caps on over the holiday and start planning your outfit. Also in March we will be supporting Sport Relief Day with a healthy lunch of wraps—orders will be taken nearer the time. This month’s Infant’s cake sale, the last one until May 16th when it is the turn of the Juniors, will be   raising money for Sport Relief– have you started your training for the “Sport Relief Mile” yet?

 

Finally, news on our guide dog, Crumble. She is growing up fast and has started her training in the big wide world. Her picture and latest letter to the children is on the notice board, Do take time to have a look, she is very sweet!
